Care in Labour Masterclass
Our one-day birth physiology masterclass has been written to help support midwives working with women in labour and supporting them in all settings. It is designed to support autonomous practice and gain a deeper understanding of the birthing body and impact that creating the right environment has on birth.
You will cover an overview of birth physiology, biomechanism of birth, ways to assist malposition in labour, the advantages of non-directed pushing, caring for a woman using analgesia and supporting the physiology, you will also learn about the use of positive language and supporting choice.
This workshop has been designed to support our RCM and Fedant Accredited 3 day Antenatal Teacher Training course to follow the ethos of birth through from the antenatal period to birth.
It follows the same standard of our Antenatal Teacher Training Programme and uses relevant and up to date, global evidence-based information and assists midwives in promoting choice, respect and dignity in childbirth, whilst supporting and underpinning their knowledge of birth.
